THE BEGINNING

Starting at a young age I found a joy in event planning. I was working with my moms friend who was an event planner and after the first event working with her I knew that event planning was what I wanted to do. When I was in college, I started doing weddings where I found myself working at a wedding venue. From there I knew that I wanted to do more wedding coordinating. After planning my own wedding in 2019 I started doing more weddings on the side of my full-time job. I spent a lot of nights and weekends with different couples talking about their visions for their wedding and helping them make their dreams a reality.

WHY WEDDING PLANNING

I love having a career that I get to work closely with others along with having the freedom to make my own schedule. I have found that each couple I work with is unique and so is their dream wedding. For me that means lots of fun conversations getting to know every couple and their dreams. I take this opportunity to appease my busy brain through endless list making, organizing, and designing what would be the couples best day. Wedding planning is a world full of love, creativity, support, challenges, innovations, friendships, and much more. Wedding planning isn’t just a job but a lifestyle!

MY STYLE

Most married couples would say that wedding planning has a reputation for being a lot but I love to show couples that it can be fun also. From the first day I meet a couple I do my best to know my clients so that I can understand and anticipate their needs, wants, plans, visions, and interest to help create the wedding that they envision.

With serving many years in the industry I have learned to think quick, become a pro problem solver, and have mastered keeping calm even in a high-pressure situation. A plan goes a long way, but a smile and calm leadership can set the tone of the day.

WHO AM I?

I was born in Texas but raised in Sturgis South Dakota. Although I grew up in South Dakota every once in a while, you can hear the Texas accent when I talk. I attended Black Hills State University in Spearfish where I graduated with a degree in business, fine arts, and social science. My husband is my biggest supporter no matter if I have a little idea or a big dream. We have two children, Owen, and Aspen. I love curling up on the couch with a good book or show and a glass of wine. I understand firsthand the importance of every aspect of the wedding journey. I found that I am happiest when I’m working with a couple and learning their wedding dreams.
